Markets open mixed as trade deal hopes counter FII selling pressure

Benchmark indices opened on a mixed note Thursday morning, with the Sensex opening at 83,540.74, up from its previous close of 83,409.69, but slipping to 83,369.90 at 9.35 am, down 39.79 points or 0.05 per cent.
